Inside the boy-the boy inside

This – very personal – project is a visual exploration of masculinity at a time when traditional images of manhood are once again being defended but should be questioned. The outdated image of masculinity as a rigidly defined “ideal,” in which strength, dominance, and emotional restraint are seen as the standards of what a “real man” should be, is challenged in these images.
The works create tension between expectation and reality. They focus on examining vulnerability, care, and introspection — qualities that rarely find space within classical ideals of masculinity. By making these contradictions visible, the focus shifts from stereotype to humanity.
The project does not search for a single new model of masculinity, but for a field of possibilities. It suggests that being a man is not a fixed script, but an open process shaped by personal experience, cultural context, and emotional freedom. In this way, a visual language emerges in which softness and strength are not opposites, but complements.
This series invites the viewer to look beyond rigid definitions and to see masculinity as something constantly in motion — fluid, layered, and human.
